OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS
Stage 1
Intro Call
Stage one is a 30-40 minute chat with one of our in-house recruiters for you to learn about the role and Doddle.
This is an informal call, feel free to ask lots of questions.
Stage 2
Technical Call
The next stage is a 60 minute technical and more competency-based call with your hiring manager.
Have a read through the job description and consider some examples of how you might meet the key requirements. Before this stage, you may also be asked to prepare a short task, which we will want to chat to you about. Don’t worry though, we’ll give plenty of warning so you have time to prepare, and we try to keep these as short and non-intrusive as possible.
Stage 3
Culture Call
Our final stage is a culture call, mainly for you!
You’ll have 45 minutes to chat with some members of the team. This will be a great chance for you to meet the people that you will be working with and really understand if the role is right for you
MEET THE PEOPLE YOU'LL BE CHATTING TO

Meet Zach, Emily, Theresa and Sam! Zach is our in-house recruiter, so he’ll be chatting to you from stage one and will be your point of contact throughout. Emily is our People Administrator, so may take your introductory call, but will most likely be supporting you with your onboarding if you have been successful.
Our People team also includes Theresa and Sam. Theresa’s been at Doddle since 2020, helping to grow Doddle’s workforce to the 90-strong group we are today. She now oversees employee wellbeing and new Doddle initiatives. Sam is Doddle’s Head of People, and is passionate about creating an environment that encourages employees to develop and flourish.
"Hi from Zach! I’ve been in recruitment for a bit over 5 years now, recruiting into both the not-for-profit and technology space. Interviews at Doddle are a two-way street and we want you to be just as excited about joining us as we are hiring you, so please do feel free to ask any and all questions you have!"

OUR COMMITMENT TO DE&I
A fair and unbiased hiring process is the hallmark of any DE&I pledge, and here at Doddle we try to make our recruitment process as inclusive as possible.
We use an application software which keeps all of your personal information confidential; so you’ll be assessed purely on the skills and experience you can bring to the table.
We also screen our job descriptions through gender bias software to make sure that the language we use is as inclusive as it can be, so that we’re not missing out on any applications.

To help those who are neurodiverse, we share clear instructions about the format of the interview, who will be on the panel, and the style of questions that are going to be asked. For some roles, we will also share the questions beforehand, and in the future we hope to be able to do this for all open positions.
We also take meaningful steps to create a more inclusive interview environment for candidates. This includes basic things like hiring managers dialling into their calls from a place with no background noise, and for most roles, scoring candidates on a set framework or rubric which excludes soft skills, for a fairer assessment.
As a result, we’re proud to be above average for both gender and ethnicity averages in Tech.

OUR AWARDS
Job hunting is hard, and we know that even that 1 extra email is a small touch that can go a long way. Alongside our DE+I pledge, we place a lot of value on staying transparent and responsive throughout your application process.
We’re proud to be recognised for this too: Doddle was one of very few businesses to rank in the top 20 of all 3 of cord’s 2023 'Hiring Leaders' awards for mid-sized companies:
- Top 20 Most Responsive: We respond to the highest % of applications within 14 days
- Top 20 Fastest To Respond: We are the fastest to respond to applications
- Top 20 Leader in Gender Diversity: We source the highest percentage of females above industry average
